For more than ten years, SUTEP has offered opportunities for partnership schools to apply for partnership school grants. The grants are offered to partnership schools for faculty or faculty and staff teams to pursue initiatives that support collaboration between WCU and schools for improving student learning. Grants can be used to support innovative ideas by providing funds for teacher planning or purchasing materials that will enable innovation.
Partnership grants include activities that will enhance teaching and learning and are aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study in the amount of $300-1,000. The following criteria will be considered when making the awards:
- How does this proposal encourage school/university collaboration?
- How does this project enhance student learning?
- How will the impact be evaluated? (What student indicators will be used?)
- What potential ongoing effects are anticipated?
- To what extent are grant funds needed for this project?
