To Make an Appointment using AdvisorTrac, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to AdvisorTrac using your MyCat username (studentID) and PIN. Then, click "Login".
  2. To schedule an appointment, select "Make Appointment" from the "Go To..." pull down menu above.
  3. Select "Advising_Center" from the list of centers to see a listing of advisors.
  4. Click the drop down menu by "Advisor" and select the name of your academic advisor.
  5. Select the dates (under the "Availability" column) between which you would be willing to make an appointment.
  6. Select "Individual" in the Type drop-down menu. Then, click the "Search" button.
  7. Look at the bottom of the screen to see the times your advisor has available. You may need to scroll to the bottom of the screen.
  8. Click on the available times between which you would like your appointment. (This takes you to the screen where you will select the exact time you would like your appointment).
  9. In the drop-down menu, enter the time you would like your appointment to begin.
  10. The length of time for your appointment will appear in the "Duration" box. In most cases, you will NOT adjust this time.
  11. Enter the reason you are scheduling an appointment.
  12. Confirm the date and time you selected, and click "Save Appointment."
  13. Your upcoming appointment will be shown. Please make sure you print this page and write down date and time of your appointment in your calendar.

To Cancel an Appointment using AdvisorTrac, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in AdvisorTrac using your MyCat username (student ID) and PIN. Then, click "Login."
  2. All of your upcoming appointments will be listed. Click on the date beside the appointment you wish to change.
  3. Click the "Delete" button at the bottom of the page.
  4. To make a new appointment, follow the above steps on making an appointment, starting with step 2.

If you have read the directions but you are still having trouble, check out the trouble shooting tips below:

  • Make sure you have entered your ID number correctly with no spaces or dashes.
  • Make sure you have entered your PIN correctly with no spaces or dashes.
  • Try going directly into the AdvisorTrac website by typing http://152.30.21.49 into the address bar of your browser.
  • If you still can't make an appointment through AdvisorTrac, call 828-227-7170 and our receptionist will schedule an appointment for you. Make sure you let your advisor know you had trouble scheduling your appointment so he or she can walk you through the process when you are here.
