Student Advisory Councils
WCU student leadership in diversity and multicultural affairs is provided by the Student Government Association’s Diversity Council and the Multicultural Advisory Council. These organizations provide students of diverse backgrounds with a voice in campus decision making and allow students to acquire important leadership and consensus building skills.
| The Multicultural Advisory Council (MAC) will serve as an advocate for cultural student organizations at Western Carolina University. We will create a strong network of support for each other and the Multicultural Center as well as promoting various events and services offered by the Multicultural Center and Multicultural Advisory Council. We strive to create collaborative programming that educates our campus community about cultural diversity and multiculturalism. |

The Student Government Diversity Council will constitute ideas and perspectives originated by the student body and its leaders. The council will be chaired by the SGA Director of Student Diversity. The Diversity Council will bring greater collaborative efforts to the forefront of Western’s foundation. By increasing our efforts for cooperation, we can implement a true ground for change as we increase the diversity of our campus. |
