Chemistry Major
Dream: Work in natural products chemistry.
Coming true at WCU: Participated in WCU summer residential research program.
“We talked, and not just about chemistry or school, but also in depth about the future of the country, politics, all areas of science, books, music and even religion sometimes. It was refreshing.”
The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a recently developed initiative designed to enhance the educational experience of undergraduate students at WCU.
The theme, Synthesis: A Pathway to Intentional Learning, was designed to help students create connections between what they learn inside and outside of the classroom and to afford faculty, staff, and students more opportunities to collaborate.
Opportunities for study abroad, research with faculty, service learning, internships and placements in potential job settings will become increasingly available as the QEP is implemented over the next ten years.
Watch a PowerPoint presentation about the QEP.
