WCU is a University of North Carolina Campus
Paying for your Education
There are four methods that students and their families may use to pay the university. These methods are:
- Make direct payment to the university by check, cash, or money order.
- Students may be eligible for enough financial aid to cover the entire balance.
- Students and families may participate in a payment plan.
- Students and families may make payment with a credit card.
How Financial Aid will be applied to my account
The WCU Controller's Office produces bills for registered students during early July. If a student has been awarded financial aid, all awards accepted by the student, except for Work-Study, will be considered as a source of funds that will cover the balance. The bill will list all university charges and estimated credits (expected financial aid) and only ask the student to pay any balance not covered by the estimated aid. The fee bill, and any money due after financial aid awards have been considered, must be returned to the Controller's Office by the payment deadline indicated on the bill to avoid having classes cancelled.
