Welcome to Western Carolina University Student Leadership Conference’s homepage. Our annual conference is called the Whee LEAD Conference and is held at WCU in Cullowhee, NC each year.

The theme for each year is chosen based around the rotation of our four main leadership concepts. These are:       

v     Spirit

v     Hope

v     Synergy

v     Service

The conference is designed each year to allow the sharing of stories, ideas, and experiences of students, faculty, staff, administrators, and both public and private sector representatives interested in the idea of leadership. As such we strongly encourage students individually and collectively to make presentations at the conference. This includes holding round table discussions, present ideas from student research projects they are engaged in dealing with the leadership perspective, poster sessions, regular workshops, and facilitating simulation games or case study challenges. In like manner we want to encourage faculty, staff, administrators, and non higher education folks to come and present and share leadership.

The conference is for you and for our future as we are all part of the leadership process as human beings, as members of various organizations and communities to which we belong, and as citizens of state, nations, and indeed our global world.
