Hello WCU Families!
Fall has arrived in Cullowhee! Even with all the rain weve had, the mountains are covered in bright gold and orange. Our foliage is not expected to be as brilliant as last year, but is still lovely to behold. The rubble from the old dining hall is slowly being cleared and the skeleton for the new residence hall, Blue Ridge, has been erected. Student Affairs staff is being kept busy engaging students in new educational programs and fun social events. The Student Health Center was busy early on in the semester treating students with flu-like symptoms. The flu appears to be fairly mild and the number of new cases has leveled off. The Student Health Center has launched a new e-newsletter, Student Health 101, for students and their families. The newsletter is issued monthly and is full of interesting articles and tips for staying healthy and increasing overall wellness. The semester is moving along quickly and students will soon be in the middle of mid-term exams. Hard as it is to believe, its time to start thinking about the spring semester. Early registration for the spring 2010 semester will open October 22nd and students should be meeting with their advisors to plan their class schedules.
Before we know it the holidays will be upon us where does the time go?
