Who am I?

I was born and raised in the small, peaceful town of Sylva, NC. Smoky Mountain High School is where I graduated from in the spring of 2003. That fall I began my journey of becoming a Catamount! With over 120 different areas of study to choose from, I finally decided to strive for a degree in business management and administration. After graduation, I worked in the local area until I was given the opportunity to return to Western by joining the Office of Admission. Being back at Western has given me an opportunity to share my experiences and love for Western with potential students.

Why Western?

Why not Western? The experiences that you will have here are unlike those that you will find at any other school. Where else can you sit in a class room with 25 other students, and be learning from an Emmy Award winner? Or learn how to touch the minds of children by going through the nation’s top education program? Western is the place to be! After giving me the chance to meet so many amazing people, learn from world class professors, and be a part of a winning tradition, it was my turn to give back to the school that I love.
