Who am I?
Growing up in Florida near the Tampa Bay area I spent a lot of time wading in the surf, and having sand between my toes! I graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from Florida Southern College. While I was there, I served as Vice President and Social Director of Delta Omicron, a professional music organization for women. Coming to Western Carolina University and the mountains of North Carolina happened by chance. Sometimes life is full of wonderful surprises! During my time here I have met some amazing people and have had the opportunity to see one of the most beautiful places in the country. I chose to work in admissions because when I was in college there were some key people that helped me reach my academic goals. This inspired me to do the same for others and to be apart of a school where students come first, and I know that Western is that place!
Why Western?
Students have many reasons why they choose the college they are going to attend. Students that make the decision to come to Western do so because they know here opportunities abound. With award winning programs students have the opportunity for an education that will not only prepare them for their field but also provide them with the experiences needed to succeed. With athletics, intramurals, the fine and performing arts, and a variety of social groups, students have the opportunity to be apart of a community. Not only can they be apart of a community, they also have the opportunity to give back to that community. Western has a wide array of student service programs, religious congregations, and political organizations that allow them to get involved and to make connections with others. I am proud to apart of the Western Carolina University community! Go Cats!
